Pottery Barn Inspired Round Jute Placemats

by

Hi sweet friends!

I hope you all had the most splendid Mother’s Day!

My husband & boys treated me so good.

I didn’t want it to end:).

I woke to beautiful handmade gifts, lots of snuggles and coffee in bed.

We looked through old photo albums

& took a much needed walk down memory lane,

it was blissful!

I needed to be reminded of our family, our LOVE, our journey, those imperfect moments that made us better,

those moments that created “OUR” story.

To turn off the outside world for a day

& for it to just be all about us,

again.

Ahh,

I want more days like this!!!!

I LOVE to going to the mail in early spring & getting the Pottery Barn Summer Catalogue!

Don’t you?!!!

It is my favorite one by far,

it feels refreshing to think about summer & entertaining again,

especially after a LONG winter, doesn’t it:)?!

So I thought I would share a really easy project from their latest catalogue

to prepare you for those last minute impromptu summer gatherings,

Pottery Barn Inspired Jute Placemats.

You can find them HERE.

All you need for this project is 3/8″ jute and a hot glue gun.

I used about 34″ feet give or take to make each 13″ across in diameter.

As I went around I pressed firmly before adding glue to the next length of jute.

The rustic texture adds a nice element to the table.

Did you notice my napkin rings?

I also picked those up at the hardware store for just a few dollars.

The contrast works well with the beachy/cottage feel

& what a conversation piece:).

Simple & easy:).

You should be able to make 6 for around $40,

which is a savings of around $80!

Cute right?
