Free Crochet Pattern for a Super Quick & Chunky Headband

by

Do you like chunky yarn? Then you will like this Super quick and chunky headband. I’ve only ever used chunky yarn once, now I see more reasons to use it. Take the name for it- it’s a super quick project and you’ll be whipping plenty of this up in little time.

So, let me tell you how I came about this yarn- I used this yarn about 2 years ago to make a beanie for my husband. He wore it about twice and ‘abandoned’ it. Every time I saw the beanie it just felt unfair for it to lie there unused. Then I got it into my head to unravel it and make something else with the yarn.

One of the most challenging things when it comes to designing is the duration some projects takes. For designers, there are usually hundreds of ideas flowing through the head, so it takes discipline to finish one before going on to another one. Alas, the discipline is always thrown out the window, thus we make multiple wips (work-in-progress) at a time. You really can’t box-in a creative, haha.

It was a good thing that I unravelled the yarn and made this headband instead, it is finding more use that it ever did as a beanie.

The pattern is worked in an oval shaped round, this headband is chic and light to keep you cozy but not so warm during this spring.

A bonus part of this pattern is you will be learning how to work in the round with chainless foundation technique (if you don’t already know how).
